Come Catch the Glow Christmas Parade

Every year Estes Park, Colorado hosts its annual "Come Catch the Glow Christmas Parade" drawing almost 40,000 people to the area. Visitors from all of the Front Range communities come to Estes Park to enjoy one of the area's major events of the year.

Event Details:

The day after Thanksgiving marks the official beginning of the Christmas Season in Estes Park. It's celebrated with the most magical event of the year, the Catch the Glow Parade.

At 5:30 p.m., just as dusk arrives, floats with thousands of tiny twinkling lights roll by lighting up the street. There will be storybook figures, angels, snowmen, marching bands, entertainers, wildlife characters and of course, Santa ends the parade!

Other events begin at noon, including visits with Santa, hay rides, festive carolers and whimsical characters greeting shoppers along Elkhorn Avenue.

Overview: Come Catch the Glow Christmas Parade is the kickoff to a full month of special holiday events in this mountain community. After a full day of activity in downtown Estes Park, the annual Come Catch the Glow Christmas Parade takes the stage as the grand finale.

Details: Band members march down the street playing favorite Christmas songs. Dancers sway to the music and floats roll by lighting up the street with thousands of dazzling lights. The floats are decorated in themes from around the world, adding to the mysteries of Christmas legends and solstice dreams.
